　　Paul Château Têtard, 48, falls in love with a young woman working as a counter clerk in the subway. When he plans to marry her, his mother launches a private detective on her tracks to prove she's cheating on her son.

　　The Polish doco for the BFI’s Century of Cinema distinguishes itself from all the others in the series by being the only one not to have any film critics, academics, directors, etc providing a commentary.  Instead it takes the refreshing route of having ordinary people of all ages talking about what’s special to them about movies – so we get some old folks describing their first trip to the cinema when a lot of people didn’t even know what a film was, memories of what it was like to go to the movies as children, teenagers, and adults before, during, and after WWII, and especially the key scenes from films that have made lasting impressions upon them (not unexpectedly, Wajda’s KANAL strikes a nerve), which are shown in accompaniment, so that it becomes the interviewees who ultimately decide what’s shown in the doco.  This kind of stuff is what the ‘100 Years of Cinema’ celebration is really about.

　　Die BRD in den 70er Jahren. Über die heitere Anarchie kommt Rita Vogt zum Terrorismus, verführt durch ihren Gerechtigkeitssinn und durch die Liebe zu Andi. Als sie das Scheitern der Bewegung erkennt, taucht sie in der DDR unter. Mit Hilfe der Staatsicherheit, personifiziert in Erwin Hull, beginnt für sie dort unter anderem Namen eine neue Existenz.
　　Rita führt sozusagen das normale Leben der Arbeiterklasse. Sie will ankommen, während ihre junge Kollegin Tatjana weg will, in den Westen. Zwischen beiden beginnt eine Freundschaft, der eine Fahndungsmeldung im Westfernsehen ein abruptes Ende setzt. Wieder muss Rita untertauchen. Mit einem neuen Namen in einer neuen Stadt scheint sie mehr Glück zu haben.
　　Rita lernt im Urlaub den Studenten Jochen kennen. Er will sie mit nach Moskau nehmen. Doch dann wird Rita von ihrer Vergangenheit eingeholt, es ist das Jahr 1989 - die Mauer fällt, die DDR hört auf zu bestehen...

　　光阳私立高中的有季和贡收到了以前初中时代的同学殿村的假面聚会的邀请邮件.与此同时,在有季的班上一直拒绝上学的段田，在戴上了假面具以后开始上学了。此后，戴面具秘密地在年轻人当中风行起来.与此同时,着眼于的世界潮流的时装设计师DAIMON，让自己的女儿HIROKO戴上假面具，作为模特来为自己的设计宣传。这样发生了许多围绕假面具的事件,学生们为戴面具的问题而形成对立，殿村又忽然离奇自杀，而在一次SHOW之中模特被杀害等等的事件不断发生.同时,找到了假面具制作室的有季，为了调查假面事件找出真正的凶手也成为模特.不久,段田也象殿村一样自杀了,在他的遗书中他供认自己杀害了殿村和模特,畏罪自杀。但是有季却相信真正的犯人另有其人。她发出邮件向假面具的主页的D说自己已经知道了犯人是谁，想通过这封邮件引诱出真正的犯人。最后，判明有季有危险的赌上奏功，真正犯人是是段田的她的水和月。真正的HIROKO另有其人，失踪了的她完全打扮成作为模特把受欢迎和名声做为恣的水和月，她杀死了所有了解真相的人们的。另一方面，真正的HIROKO因为不认同父亲的做法，伪装成晓的妹妹与他一起生活.为了让她度过与晓新的人生，假面事件解决后，有季掩饰了自己对晓的感情为他们送别.

　　Howard Tyler (Frank Lovejoy) is a family man, living in California, who can't seem to get by financially. He meets up with a small-time, but charismatic, hood Jerry Slocum (Lloyd Bridges). Soon, Slocum convinces Tyler to participate in gas station robberies to get by. Later, they kidnap a wealthy man in hopes of getting a huge ransom. Things go wrong when the man is murdered by Slocum then thrown in a lake. Tyler reaches his limit emotionally, and he begins drinking heavily. He meets a lonely woman and confesses the crime while drunk. The woman flees and goes to the police.
　　When the two kidnappers are arrested, a local journalist (Richard Carlson) writes a series of hate-filled articles about the two prisoners which eventually lead to a brutal lynching.
　　The despair of the lower middle-class: A family man ashamed of being unemployed allows himself to be convinced by a gangster to take part in a kidnapping. The police arrests them both and the anger of the small town’s population is unforgiving. THE SOUND OF FURY is a dark crime movie that builds up to an apocalyptic storm, but never loses sight of social realities, thus telling a lot about the daily despair of the working-class. A masterpiece, it was Cy Endfield’s last film before he felt compelled to move to Britain.

　　清光绪年间，山河动荡，外忧内患，中国处在生死存亡的一线间。光绪皇帝（舒适 饰）当朝，却因慈禧太后（唐若青 饰）垂帘听政，身不由己，宛如傀儡一般。户部尚书翁同龢习光绪学经解义，并灌输启蒙思想，使光绪萌发变法之心；而光绪宠妃珍妃（周璇 饰）亦每日存下银两，以作军资。
　　甲午惨败，翁同龢开缺回乡，临别前向光绪举荐康有为。戊戌年（1898年），光绪与维新派展开变法，却受到慈禧为首的顽固派的抵制，双方矛盾愈演愈烈。太后一方定下计谋，企图借天津阅兵之际废掉光绪；而维新一派亦相时而动，派出袁世凯（罗维 饰）刺杀荣禄，围执太后……
